British Post Punk legends (turned Indie Pop kings) The Wake were formed in Glasgow in 1981 by Gerard “Caesar” McInulty, formerly of Altered Images. The Wake first released was on their own Scan 45 label, coupling together “On Our Honeymoon” and “Give Up”. The release caught Rob Gretton’s attention (New Order’s manager) who helped the band sign to Factory Records in 1982.This was followed quite a few singles on Factory Benelux. In 83, The Wake exploded playing tours with New Order, Primal Scream and Jesus And Mary Chain also recording a Peel Sessions the same year.

What we have on sale today is the vinyl version is a single LP featuring ten tracks which include “On Our Honeymoon” , “Talk About The Past” , “Something Outside”, “Of The Matter”, “Crush The Flowers” (from the Sarah-era) and a very sort after version of “Pale Spectre”.
The vinyl also holds the bonus CD of rarities, live recordings and outtakes. Most of these recording have not appeared, even on bootlegs.
