The Beatles – Abbey Road – 180gram Remaster-LP
The last studio project of the Beatles but the second last album to be released to retail as “Let It Be” was recorded in their number 3 Savile Row studio’s in 1968 then mixed by Phil Spector in 1969 for a 1970 release. Although Abbey Road was an immediate commercial success the album reached number one in the United Kingdom and United States. Without a doubt the album showed a shift in The Beatles sound with the use of Moog in tracks like “Maxwells Silver Hammer” In particular, George Harrison’s contributions, “Something” and “Here Comes the Sun”, without a doubt are among the best tracks he’d written for the band. As of August 2014, Abbey Road remains the Beatles’ best-selling album.
