In 2008, Epic Records decided to released Thriller 25, basically the 25th anniversary of the album with bonus tracks featuring the the original voice over from Vincent Price, five remixes featuring American artists Fergie, will.i.am, Kanye West, and Akon. The entire project was overseen and executive produced by Michael himself. Thriller 25 was a commercial success and did particularly well as a reissued as well going number 1 in most countries and making it to number 2 in the US Charts. After Jackson’s death in June 2009, Thriller set even more records selling more than 100,000 copies.
