“Future Days” is the 5th studio album by the German Krautrock band Can, originally released in 1973. Can with Damo were the only “progressive” band who managed to be both excellent players but also write extremely catchy melodies.

Future Days has always been the epitome of Can’s music and for a long time I could only really enjoy this and “Ege Bamyasi” from their extensive catalogue. There is a definite split in Can’s music between the jagged Malcolm Mooney lead singer era and the linear and original Damo Suzuki contributions.

Many early Can tracks are close to The Velvet Underground and The Mothers in style – but “Future Days” has a dark melody that defines the sound we love here at My Vinyl Revolution!

For all fans of Can and Kraut Rock in general this album is a must have !
