Brave New World – Impressions on Reading Aldous Huxley – this Krautrock, experimental, prog rock rarity was originally released by swirl-meisters Vertigo and recorded in Studio Maschen on 16 tracks on May 1-3, 7, 14, June 9, 11; mixed on June 11, 24, 26, 1972. The sound is part-mediaeval, folktronic, jazzy krautrock.
Brave New World comprised an international cast of musicians including a.o. Reinhart Firchow (recorders, flutes, ocarina, stylophone, percussion, vocals), John O’Brien-Docker (guitars, organ, percussion, vocals, wind chimes) and Herb Geller (flutes, cor anglais, saxophones, organ).
Now in a limited edition of only 500 gatefold glossies with background insert, this vinyl should be a worthy edition to your explorations of Aldous huxley the venerable traveller!
