Rubber Factory is the The Black Key’s 3rd studio offering, released September 7th on 2004. . The name of the album came about due to the place they recorded the album which was an abandoned tyre factory in the group’s hometown of Akron, Ohio. This totally explains the cavenous reverb you hear in the tracks….Lo Fi Garage Rock Funk at its best !The session took 5 months to record due to gear malfunction. Luckily they were renting at only $500 per month.
